I’m visiting Toronto until Sunday.
I’d like to do a Toronto geek/ Canadian Tech Mob lunch Saturday afternoon. I’ve gotta check out the Toronto Web 2.0 scene.
David Crow has helped put this together.
We’re meeting at 1pm on the patio of The Bedford Academy in Yorkville.

I’d like to do a Toronto geek/ Canadian Tech Mob dinner maybe Saturday night. I’ve gotta check out the Toronto Web 2.0 scene.
Anyone have a recommendation where we could do it?

Under the Radar was another fantastic event put on by IBDNetwork
My favorite track of the day was the “Remix” track with presentations by Eyespot, Jumpcut, Vidavee and Video Egg.
It’s pretty amazing to see the kind of video editing that can be done using a hosted, web based application. Each of the companies are doing their own little twist but all have taken great effort to make a simple an usable application to mix/mashup video using both AJAX technologies as well as Flash.
It amazes me how far technology has advanced in making it easy to do quite sophisticated video editing all in a web based interface. These solutions are approaching the functionality and usability of something like iMovie with the advantage of having all the video clips and content available online.
Up next the fireside chat with Denmark West from MTV. I met Denmark last night and he’s incredibly dynamic…. I’m looking forward this one.

I’m heading back to California for next Under the Radar next week. I’ve got some meetings setup with advisors, investors and customers for Zigtag and will be in town between Tuesday and Saturday.
Wednesday the 14th is Under The Radar. If you haven’t got your tickets yet, you can save $100 here.
If you’ve got a Web 2.0 Company that you think I should look at, email me at submit06@web2.0central.com and we’ll see if we can get together.
If you know of any BBQ’s/Geek Dinners or the like on the go while I’m in town, throw them in the comments.

Tomorrow the gang over at IBDNetwork is running The Dealmaker Forum which looks to be a great invite only event. I almost made it down for it but the scheduling didn’t work out.
I’ll be in the Valley on June 14 for Under the Radar. The last event was great and I’m looking forward to some great networking and maybe even a sneak peak on what I’m up to with Zigtag.
