Web 2.0 Central » Wazima - del.icio.us for deals

They’re on my to post list, but since Alex, the creator emailed, me, I guess they move to the top of the heap.

Wazima allows visitors to tag deals on the web to allow the collective bargain hunters to share the hot deals they find on the net.

Alex writes:

“It’s basically a clone of del.icio.us but focuses on products and
deals. I’m trying to figure out if “the many” are better at finding
deals then the people who put together the sunday paper or giant sites
like shopping.com.”

I’d like to see some extra microcontent built into the posting interface.

Data like:

  • Regular Price
  • Sale Price
  • Brand

This would make it much easier to browse the system.

And some tag suggestions for categories. (Not formal categories, just throw them in the tags.) Make it easy for all the computer deals to go together. Bookmarks are bound to be bookmarked by multiple users, but deals probably less so, so offering some additional help tagging/categorizing would be a good idea.

It needs an API so it the data can be mashed up once it gets some traction.

Nice work.

Hello,

Thanks for posting the writeup. I just started getting some feedback on Wazima and so far everyone is saying “more microcontent”. Tomorrow I’m going to expand the submission screen. Add an expiration date, price, and the sale price.

Thanks for the comments,
Alex
