Yahoo seems to be making a series of excellent strategic acquisitions of late.
Today, they add another leading Web 2.0 company to their arsenal with the acquisition of Del.icio.us.
That makes Flickr, Upcoming, Konfabulator, Oddpost all great niche leaders in their space now a part of the yahoo family. I really like the acquisitions that Yahoo is making. If they can leverage them appropriately, I think Yahoo will have a renewed level of interest from the market.
I’ll wager that in the next 12 months, Yahoo’s stock outperforms both Google and Microsoft.
Yahoo: $40.31
Google: $409.20
Microsoft: $27.71
The bet works 2 ways.
#1. Perfect trading (taking the high in the next year)
#2. Close on December 9, 2006
Any takers?
