Clio is a new startup a good friend of mine, Jack Newton, launched this week. He demoed it at Democamp Edmonton a while back and the product looks really solid.
Clio is a comprehensive web-based practice management Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) offering for lawyers. Clio is specifically designed for solo practitioners and small law firms using PCs and Macs, and can be accessed from any Internet connection and from iPhones.
Clio is being be demonstrated at the ABA General Practice, Solo & Small Firm Division’s Fall Meeting on October 2-4, 2008 in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
“Secure and easy-to-use, Clio provides case/matter management, time tracking, billing/reporting, client contact and document management, task scheduling, trust accounting, and performance metrics for independent lawyers to benchmark their business goals.”
Clio looks to be a fantastic way for lawyers to manage their business. Good luck Jack!

I haven’t had a post here in a REALLY long time. The market for covering Web startups is being handled pretty well by dozens of sites today. I’m not sure how to resurrect this blog with enough differentiation to matter. Ideas?
Would anyone be interested in a blog about innovation? Brainstorming2.0central.com? innovation2.0central.com?
I’ve got the domain…. open to ideas, suggestions or partnerships.
P.S. I just posted about my newest company, Edistorm - Social Brainstorming. Go check it out.

Pocket is an interesting social bookmarking service.
Their bookmarklet overlay’s on top of the page you are visiting in a very pleasing fashion. The entire user interface and experience is beautiful and very polished.
They offer comma and return delimited tags (something I highly recommend) making for very human readable tags.
Pocket also offers a del.icio.us import function to get your legacy bookmarks in.
Definitely a must visit even just to check out how nice their presentation is.
